What countries have/had dictatorship?

let's see. there are somewhere around 225 countries in the world. to list them all and the types of govts within is a fool's errand (for me), but knock yourself out. locally and within the western hemisphere, you do have cuba, in asia there's north korea. keep in mind you have to define 'dictatorship'. often govts are cloaked with republic-sounding names or thereof. you could argue that russia and china are no longer dictatorships, right? but they never were. communist govts aren't true dictatorships as one doesn't rule but THE PARTY (does). see? look for those in ruling positions where they, alone, solo, call the shots. not too many left.
