Does anyone know how i can become an mot tester?

You need to be nominated by an Authorised Examiner (normally a garage owner) and need to have 4 years experience and have the relevant qualifications (they're quite specific). If you don't have the specific qualifications you can attend a VOSA course that tests your competence. After that it's on the job training, normally shadowing a current Nominated Tester. Then you sit the 3 (might be 4 now) day course at a VOSA training centre. After that a VOSA Vehicle Examiner will come to your place of work and observe you doing a test. The examiner ALWAYS faults something so don't worry about it. On his say-so you become a fully fledged tester.
