If you're a Christian, are you supposed to believe that the bible is the word of God, or human interpretation?

It is the word of God written by humans. So, since they had no reason to deceive anyone, but are human, it may not be perfect. Which is why it might hold holes in it or might be more metaphorical in parts, it can't be interpreted word for word.
